Solomon Shiu
We are delighted to announce a guest talk with Solomon Shiu at 12:00–14:50 on Thursday 23rd March 2023.
The session is part of SM4341 Sonic Art and the History of Sound and Noise. If you are not currently studying on this course but would like to attend, please contact us as places are limited.
Solomon Shiu is a DPhil candidate in Music at St. Cross College, Oxford. His current project focuses on the music and sounds of Filipina and Indonesian migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong — particularly how such soundscapes interrelate with notions of sonic dissent, sonic agency, spatial temporalities, the diaspora, and power.
