Guest lecture with Prof Gerald Estadieu

SoundLab are delighted to welcome Dr Gerald Estadieu to a Guest lecture in SM3130 Sound installation and Spatialisation. His talk will take place in MMT (M1060) on Wednesday 22 October, a little after 18:00 (6pm). The presentation will include listening to sonic materials played back in the full SoundLab hemispheric rig.

Title of the talk: Crafting Immersive Soundscapes for Installations and Live Performances

Abstract: Step into a world where sound moves around you, telling stories in three dimensions. This talk reveals how Ambisonics can turn any space into a living, breathing soundscape. Whether in a theatre, gallery, or concert hall, we’ll explore how to weave sound into an experience that surrounds, surprises, and deeply connects with audiences. Discover the magic of spatial audio and how it can elevate your creative vision into something truly unforgettable.
