About Jon Leidecker (aka wobbly):

wobbly, aka Jon Leidecker makes sounds with people and machines that listen. Using recordings, feedback, and automation, he makes music which can only ever be heard in real time. The goal is to produce sounds that seem to be asking questions, and as a collaborator, to blur the line between solo and group work.

His current touring projects include Negativland, the Thurston Moore Group, Jennifer Walshe, Zoh Amba, and Cheryl E. Leonard. He also speaks on the secret histories of electronic music including presentations at Oxford, Stanford, Mills, UC Berkeley, and Peabody, and his nine-hour overview of sampling and collage, Variations, is hosted online by the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art. His work in radio, which remains his preferred medium, includes Negativland’s Over The Edge livemix broadcast continuing to emerge out of KPFA FM, Berkeley.
